Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You can usually find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to move things and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks that are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated with care in order to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Machine should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet must be carefully stacked in order to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is really not safe to push the pallet in front of you as the thrust could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
