Propane cylinders take up little space and they can be kept either outside of a facility or inside of a storage area. It does take some time to switch out a propane cylinder, though, it still does need knowledge of safety standards like for example the OSHA or Occupational Health and Safety Administration and also requires operator training in order to be conducted safely.

Compared to the electric forklift, internal combustion forklifts are easier and faster to refuel. Then again, the internal combustion engine does produce polluting emissions and are extremely noisy.

NARROW-AISLE LIFT TRUCKS
The Class 2 lift trucks includes many varieties of lift truck that are particularly designed to be used in narrow aisles. The standard storage aisles are 12 feet wide, and this easily allows a counterbalanced forklift to turn in the aisle and put a load away. Typically, narrow aisles are 8 feet wide, while the very narrow aisles are roughly 5.5 to 6 feet wide. These narrow aisles require specialized lift trucks which are capable of putting away cargo without any turning at all or which are small enough to turn on a tight radius.

The three most common narrow aisle lift trucks are the reach trucks, turret trucks and order pickers. The differences between these lift trucks are discussed below.

Narrow-Aisle Reach Lift Trucks
The original narrow-aisle lift truck is considered to be the conventional reach truck. These machines do not require a big counterweight and are therefore, small enough to turn in narrow aisles. Instead, stability is provided by the outrigger arms that extend in front of the trucks. Nonetheless, depending on the storage configuration, these outrigger arms can prevent the lift trucks from getting near enough to the storage rack to deposit and retrieve cargo. In order to overcome this situation, a pantograph was designed. The pantograph is really a reach truck that is made with a telescoping mechanism. This enables forks to concisely and easily reach into storage areas.

The best environment for narrow aisle forklifts is a place which has good lighting, clean floors and good traffic flow, well-maintained floor, as well as sufficient turning space.
These kinds of equipment have changed the material handling business. Toyota stands behind their dedication to offering exceptional quality and extremely strong machinery. As the business evolves, they continually strive to implement solutions in order to offer their diverse client base with the best available products.
