The Combilift company was founded by two great engineers, Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. Between them, they had over 40 years of experience in engineering when they founded the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In just over ten years, Combilift became a leader in the global long-load handling market, providing machines to more than 50 markets all around the world. Supported by a trusted international network of distributors that have helped expand distribution into many markets around the world and using their extensive knowledge and experience, McVicar and Moffett have made machinery that are in high demand and had sold 10,000 units by mid 2009.

C-Series Combilifts are available in an assortment of mast options. Lift heights up to nine meters and lift capacities up to 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in gas or LPG, diesel, and electric or battery and the C-Series Combilifts could operate within guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers provide the ability to lift oversized, heavy loads like fully loaded containers that weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads can be transported all over a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from trailer to trailer, from the trailer to the ground or from the ground to the trailer. These machinery are a cost-effective, efficient solution for many haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those types with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machinery capable of driving in four directions due to its multi-directional steering. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can help businesses in lots of ways, one of which is to allow facilities to have aisles which are narrower. It also allows the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This extremely manoeuvrable truck is usually considered to be a better choice as opposed to lots of conventional sit-down sideloaders because of the various extra features and capabilities.
