Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machinery which could carry loads that are about 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machines still carry the potential risk of crash or accident. To be able to be very safe, be sure to have operators put on an appropriate seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. We all know that in case of an accident, seat belts could save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The types of seat belts that could extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These types of belts offer an added degree of safety by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable types.
Most modern motor vehicles on the market provide retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable styles increase safety, retractable kinds offer more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The type of seat belt that only extends over the lower part of the body is a two-point lap belt. The majority of lap belts feature a push-button closure system and are non-retractable. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type that force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These kinds of seat belts have a micro-switch attached which sounds an alarm if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band kinds.
