Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care must be taken.
Determine the distance and direction the sound of the audible device is made more difficult because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get deactivated from operators and employees because they could find them really irritating. Moreover, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other problems. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each and every particular application, the operator is able to choose the performance need. As well, it enables a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the equipment in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the model and when this occurs, it needs a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
